Arcadia Machine & Tool Company (AMT) made a number of interesting, sturdy autoloaders including (at the time) the world's smallest .45 Automatic pistol, and one of only two autoloaders capable of firing the 22 WMR cartridge. They ran into some legal problems with a pistol based on Ruger's Mark II .22 -- apparently Ruger's lawyers felt it was based a little too close to Ruger's patents -- and they were purchased by a series of different owners including High Standard. Their Auto-Mag and Backup lines were well-made but some examples suffered from quality control problems. Even so, the basic designs were solid and innovative. Tombstone Gun Grips is pleased to continually expand the line of grip models available for the AMT pistols. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
