This version fits many of the Remington 1858 New Army clones by Uberti, Pietta, and others. Some of these same models have different curvature, width, or height from one to another, even in the same brand, if made at different periods (and, sometimes, if made the same day, apparently). So be sure to check your gun against the dimensions for this grip and the other 1858 Remington copies, and select the one that matches best. If there is any doubt at all, send a pencil tracing of your gun frame or existing grips so the best fit can be found. A = Width across top, 1-1/8 inches B = Height to top corner, 3-3/8 inches C = Width across base, 2-1/8 inches J = Height to front corner, 2-3/8 inches H = Height to screw hole center, 1-1/4 inches I = Width across screw hole center, 1-9/16 inches Note: the screw and mounting hardware is normally installed but you can select the option to not have the holes drilled. If you do, the mounting hardware is sent but is not installed. Remington used the mounting screw rather than a 1-piece grip with removable backstrap, whereas Colt revolvers could use either 1-piece or two separate grip panels and a screw.
