This is yet another of the snowflake clone (no two alike!) 1858 Remington grips: it seems every modern manufacturer of replicas for this famous gun has different ideas about the grip shape and size, even the same model from the same manufacturer using slightly different grips from one production run to another. Oh, well...that's why you should always send a pencil tracing. Easy solution. To make sure your gun and this particular set of grips will match, take the grips off your gun, set them each on a 3x5 inch index card, and draw around them with a sharp pencil. Mark the screw hole location. Write your address or email, and your order number if you have ordered, on the grip tracings, and mail them to me. I can match them with your order, and see whether or not the grip you ordered actually will work or not. If not, I can substitute another grip that will work, if I have one, or let you know if I don't. Each grip is made in a specific mold, so I can't stretch the grip to make it bigger but it's not hard to sand it to make it smaller! It is always best if the grip is as close as possible but larger to allow for exact fitting when you get it.
